“Be curious about your decisions around food. Gather enough information, make your best decision, have fun with it and enjoy!”
certified specialist in Obesity and Weight Management
Food is a personal choice and meant to be enjoyed. It plays a critical role in one's overall well-being. Few of us were raised to see food that way. We’ve been bombarded by marketing that is confusing and makes our brains hurt if we think about it too much. Often, we choose to ignore the importance of food as a tool to nourish our body. My guiding principle is that all foods can fit into a healthy lifestyle. The key is learning what your foods are as well as defining your healthy lifestyle. That’s where I can help you. As an Obesity and Weight Management Specialist, Mindful and Instinctive Eating Practitioner and Certified Health and Wellness Coach, I combine the sciences of nutrition and psychology to help my clients manage their health with a healthier weight, a healthier lifestyle and a healthier approach to food. When you Do Food Right, for you, improved health and avoiding chronic diseases is a realistic outcome.

“On your life mission, has food become the nagging buddy who always brings the list of things you have to do and the guilt trip when you do it wrong? Or is food the super cool and fun partner that you trust to energize you and lead you to a fun time?”
I like to believe food is the second one. When I think about food and nutrition, I think about energy, vibrancy, and joy! Unfortunately too many people think of food and nutrition and feel confusion, frustration, and maybe even feel deceived and distrustful. Maybe you are a rule-follower and feel like you have to stick to the “shoulds” or you might as well not try. What if we work together to bring back the nourishment and joy of food as we move you closer to your life and performance goals? I have competed in swimming, cross country, track and field, and triathlons so it has always been important to me to learn about how food makes me a stronger athlete. I have a masters degree in Applied Nutrition with a concentration in Fitness and am always working to be the best sports performance dietitian I can be. Even if you wouldn’t define yourself as an athlete, I will help you to learn how food fuels the things you do in your day-to-day life so you can live the life you dream of.
Small changes make a BIG impact. Trendy diets don’t give you the groundwork to build a solid nutrition strategy for sustained outcomes.
